Let’s make some noise at APPLAUSE TALENT this coming weekend! Let’s give our BIGS & LITTLES an “APPLAUSE” with this fun hand clapper! Clappers will be at the studio for the dancers to pick up through Thursday of this week (April 12-15).
Please pick up a clapper to decorate for your BIG or LITTLE. You can use paint pens, permanent markers, jewels, etc. BE CREATIVE! Bring your decorated clapper to Applause this Sunday to give to your BIG or LITTLE during the competition so that everyone can use them to make some noise during the awards session! 👋
PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO PICK UP A CLAPPER AT THE FRONT DESK THIS WEEK!!! ***(If you have 2 Littles, please pick up and decorate 2 clappers)
Applause Talent (our next competition) has let Cheryl know that our block competition schedule will be set on Sunday, April 18 starting at 7am. We will send out schedule details as soon as they are available.
You will also note that Cheryl will have Group Rehearsals planned on Friday and Saturday, April 16 and 17. She is working on the schedule, and we will update you as soon as it is available. Please keep Friday and Saturday available for your dancer for Rehearsals.
We have new FNDA Spiritwear now available for sale, ONLINE ONLY for a limited time! Click here to access the online webstore link. There are lots of style options available! You have NOW until Saturday, April 3 end of day to purchase. We will not have samples available this year for try-on at the Studio.
A couple of details on the webstore:
Please note that all sales are final. Be sure that you to double check your sizes and quantities before submitting your order.
Select items may require a minimum quantity ordered by your group. Items that fail to meet this minimum may be cancelled from your order.
All orders will be processed and created after the Web Store closing date.
Please note that items will be available for pick-up at the Studio approximately 2-3 weeks after the close of the web store and not the date of your purchase. We will send out another blog post when the Spiritwear orders are ready for pickup.
We will have a Viewing Party of the League of Champions Overall Awards at the Studio on Tuesday, March 30 at 6:30pm-7pm for our dancers ONLY. Please join your dance friends in cheering the team on (if you are in a dance class at that time, you can still join as the teachers are aware that we are doing this). We think the overall awards will last only 20-30 minutes.
Please read below for an update to the check-in process at Clayton County Performing Arts Center this Sunday morning:
The Venue will be requiring temperature checks as well as a wellness check questionnaire via QR code at check-in:
When you arrive at the venue, there will be signs with the QR code posted
Scan the QR code with your phone camera. This will lead you to the wellness check form that will need to be completed prior to check-in
When filling out the wellness check form, the location you need to select is “Performing Arts”
Once you have completed the wellness check document, keep it handy to show to one of the check-in attendants at the venue who will then take your temperature
And just in case you missed these:
Please remember to bring the clear mask as well as the skin-colored mask your dancer has received specifically for competition. Have your dancer bring her own mask to wear when she is not on stage.
Please remember to sign the LOC Smart Waiver for you and your dancer by end of day, Friday, March 26. We still have a few dancers that have not been signed for and have reached out to those individuals separately. This waiver is required for entry into the venue/competition. Click here to access the LOC waiver.
Cheryl will be giving out clear masks to each dancer today (Wednesday) and Thursday. Please make sure your dancer receives a clear mask as this is likely what our dancers will wear on stage at this weekend’s competition. There are a couple of “to do’s” for the clear mask that must be completed prior to Sunday’s competition:
Please adjust the ear strap to ensure it fits snugly on your dancer’s face. Make a knot where it will fit snugly behind the ear, and then clip off the excess of the ear strap.
Please apply liquid make-up in the shade of your dancer’s skin to the white fabric ear straps on the mask. Please allow it to dry fully ahead of Sunday’s competition.
Dancers will wear lipstick when wearing the clear mask for competitions. So, please make sure that it is packed with you on Sunday.
Please remember to bring the skin-colored mask your dancer received for the Masquerade competition in case it is decided to wear those for this weekend’s competition. AND, have your dancer bring her own mask to wear when she is not dancing.
Please remember to sign the LOC Smart Waiver for you and your dancer by end of day, Friday, March 26. It is required for entry into the venue/competition. Click here to access the LOC waiver.
Make sure that you note on the Signup Genius whether you are signing up for your dancer’s solo, duo, or trio rehearsal. Please make sure that only 1 mom or dancer signs up for a given slot for a duo or trio. Please only sign up for 1 slot for the first week the SUG is published. After a week, you may sign up for a second slot if you wish.
Dancers, please remember the following:
Please bring your music to the private lesson.
Please bring payment ($35 for a 30 minute session with Cheryl or Madison) at the start of each rehearsal. There is no option to have this charge added to your FootNotes account. All dancers must pay the instructor directly by either check, Venmo, or cash.
If your dancer is unable to attend your booked rehearsal session, you must notify FootNotes at firstname.lastname@example.org, at least 24 hours ahead of your scheduled time. If you ‘miss’/forget a rehearsal that you have signed up for, you are still responsible for the payment to the instructor.
As always, dancers are always free to book an empty room to practice on their own.
