Group Photo Shoot details have been posted…this includes important info about what to wear, etc. Click here to access the Group Photo Information web page.  (This web page is password protected.)   Other group photo details such as arrival times and specific meeting locations will be updated in this document as soon as they are available.  We will post another blog update each time the document is updated so that you are aware of the updates.   

Cheryl has created the Solo, Duo, Trio Signup Genius for this season. Click here to access the Signup Genius.

Right now, Cheryl has slots available. She will add slots for Madison in a few days.

Make sure that you note on the Signup Genius whether you are signing up for your dancer’s solo, duo, or trio rehearsal.   Please make sure that only 1 mom or dancer signs up for a given slot for a duo or trio.  

You may only sign up for one slot each time new dates are posted. After a week, you may check again and sign up for one more open slot.  

Dancers, please remember the following:

• Please bring your music to the private lesson.
• Please bring payment ($35 for a 30 minute session with Cheryl or Madison) at the start of each rehearsal.  There is no option to have this charge added to your FootNotes account.  All dancers must pay the instructor directly by either check, Venmo, or cash.
• If your dancer is unable to attend your booked rehearsal session, you must notify FootNotes at footnotesdance@comcast.net, at least 24 hours ahead of your scheduled time.   If you ‘miss’/forget a rehearsal that you have signed up for, you are still responsible for the payment to the instructor.
• As always, dancers are always free to book an empty room to practice on their own.

Thank you to all the dancers for coming to the Studio yesterday for the Big/Little Sister Reveal.  The Big/Little Sister committee had each Little Sister draw a number to determine which pair of socks they would receive. The Littles then went into the room with the Big Sisters to find their sock “match”!

For the Big Sisters…we talked with them about what it means to mentor the younger dancers. A Big Sister acts as a role model and a cheerleader to encourage her Little Sister at competitions and to build a relationship with them. 

And for the Little Sisters…It is about the Little Sister being your Big’s biggest cheerleader.

The Big and Little relationship is there to share a connection with someone else on the team outside of your group….to get to know them.   It is also a good way to foster confidence and help guide the little sis as she gets older. It is NOT about the gifts you give or receive.   It’s about the time you spend with your big or little.

A huge THANK YOU to Isabel Moulthrop and her team of Angela Coppola and Suzie Drummond for planning and coordinating a fun event for our dancers!

• BRAVO, ELITE, ENCORE, OVATION, PREMIER – Arrive at Studio promptly at 5pm.  Theme of Production will be unveiled to the dancers; Production Finale choreography for these groups will begin promptly.  We will serve a pizza dinner at the end of the choreography session (approximately at 7pm).   Dancers should be done by 7:30pm.     

Saturday, October 16

• ELITE & PREMIER (9:30am – 11:30am)
• BRAVO & ENCORE & OVATION (11am – 1pm)

Reminder of “To Do” for Big Sisters: Purchase TWO pairs of crazy, interesting socks – one pair for you and one for your Little Sister to match. Please bring the LITTLE’s pair of socks to the Studio labeled with your (the BIG Sister) name and drop in the labeled box at the front desk by TOMORROW (Thursday), 9/23.

Big Sisters should bring a themed, small gift or sweet treat to the Reveal for their little to enjoy! Little Sisters do not need to bring anything to the Reveal and will have the opportunity to bring a gift for their Big Sister during our next Big/Little gathering in October.

IMPORTANT: If you are unable to attend, please let Isabel Moulthrop know (her cell is: 203.312.3348) ASAP so that we can make provisions for those that will not have a match at the Reveal.
