Imagine Photos and Videos

Cheryl generously paid the imagine media fee for each family. So make sure you take advantage of this great opportunity. There are some amazing pictures and videos of our dancers.

In order to access the photos and videos you need to click on the link below and input each of your dancers information. After this step is done it will ask you to log in to your dance bug account. Once that is finished the photos and videos will be saved to your app or you can view them on your computer after logging in to dance bug. From there you can download them to your phone or computer.

**Two very important reminders:

Please do not share any videos of competition dance routines on any social media platforms until the dance season has ended. Please also remind your dancer not to share.

Video and photography are both prohibited inside the theater during performances and could lead to disqualification of the entire studio.

APPLAUSE Tentative Schedule

Click here to access the Applause Dance Competition PRELIMINARY schedule for NEXT WEEKEND, March 14-16 in Carrollton, GA.   The competition is saying this is a preliminary schedule, so it may change somewhat between now and next week.   But likely, the day(s) your dancer’s dance(s) is/are posted on, will not change.   We advise that you DO NOT adjust your hotel reservations or travel plans for the weekend until the FINAL scheudle is released. We will a final version to print once the final schedule is sent to Cheryl next week.

*IMPORTANT: This competition requires a waiver to be signed for each dancer prior to the event. Click here to access the link to the waiver.  Enter your dancers name and your email address. You will immediately receive an email with a link to digitally sign for your dancer.  You must complete this step for the waiver to be signed for your dancer. Dancers that have not completed and electronically signed the waiver will not be permitted to enter the venue. Waiver must be complete no later than THIS Friday, February 28.

Raise The Barre Date Announcement

SAVE THE DATE! Raise the Barre has been set for the week of Sunday, July 27 through Thursday, July 31. 

It’s going to be a week of unprecedented growth, knowledge, creativity, and inspiration with some of the nation’s most sought after faculty! Classes include Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, and Acro/Tumbling, Turns and Conditioning.  Class schedule to be released in mid-July.

Showcase Reminders ~ T – 2 Days and Counting!

T-2 days until Showcase 2025!! Let’s do this!

Amy and Elisa have prepared a Showcase Consolidated Schedule/Summary Reminders document, and it has been loaded to the Showcase 2025 Member Information webpage.  It’s #6 on the list and can also be found by clicking here. Please review this document (as well as the detailed Showcase parent meeting document – it is #4 on the list, if you have not had a chance yet.)  These documents include important information for you and your dancer about this weekend!! We ask that you please allow plenty of time to get to the venue and arrive at 10:00am to ensure a prompt 10:45am start of Dress Rehearsal on Saturday (unless you are slotted to come earlier per the Signup Genius to help with decorations).

We still have several volunteer openings for ticket ushers and door monitors. Please consider signing up for additional responsibility throughout the weekend to ensure Showcase 2025 goes off without a hitch!  Click here to access the Showcase Volunteer Sign-Up Genius.  In addition, you can access the Volunteer Hours Tracking Form on the Member Information Page at any time throughout the season to log your volunteer hours.

Photo Buttons

Pin on your pride and joy! We are offering Photo Buttons again this year for our Vibe dancers to show spirit for our girls.  The buttons are 3″ in diameter and will feature a photo of your dancer with a red border that says “FootNotes Dance & Acrobatics” around the outer edge. It can be further customized with your daughter’s name, as an option.  See button example above.

*Headshot photos for the photo buttons will be taken THIS SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 15TH AT SHOWCASE during the break between Dress Rehearsal and the 4pm show.*

If you wish to purchase a photo button this year, please fill out the attached Google Form to have your dancer’s headshot taken and indicate how many buttons you wish to order.  We will grab the girls from their dressing room just before lunch. 

What to wear: Hair, makeup and earrings will already be photo ready, so please have your dancer wear her FootNotes jacket.  

Buttons are $5 each,.  We will be taking payments (cash or Venmo @KellyWillis07) when photos are taken.

SHOWCASE VOLUNTEER SIGNUP

Thank you to those members that have already signed up for multiple positions on our Showcase 2025 Signup Genius!  Several key/”must fill” positions, particularly Concessions Sales, are still open and need volunteers. Most of these open positions take place before the show or during intermission and require less than an hour of your time. We need your help to get these open positions filled.  This is the best time of the year to earn your hours towards the 12 hours required from each dancer family (20 hours for families with two or more dancers).Please click here to access the Vibe 2025 Dance Showcase Signup Genius.    

Reminders from the initial post about the Signup Genius:

  1.  Please note that many of  these volunteer roles only require up to an hour of your time, so you may sign up for multiple volunteer positions across both shows.

Private Lesson Signup Genius

Cheryl has updated the Solo, Duo, Trio Signup Genius. Click here to access the Signup Genius. Everyone must wait until they receive the email before signing up.

Make sure that you note on the Signup Genius whether you are signing up for your dancer’s solo, duo, or trio rehearsal.   Please make sure that only 1 mom or dancer signs up for a given slot for a duo or trio.

You may only sign up for one slot each time new dates are posted. After 3 days, if there are still spots open, dancers who do not have a solo/duo/trio and would just like a private lesson for technique are eligible to book. These dancers should be prepared to come to their private lesson with an agenda of what they want to work on. 

Dancers, please remember the following:

  • Please bring your music to the private lesson.
  • Please bring payment (Note: fee increase to $45 for a 30 minute session for both Madison & Cheryl) at the start of each rehearsal.  There is no option to have this charge added to your FootNotes account.  All dancers must pay the instructor directly by either check, Venmo, or cash.
  • If your dancer is unable to attend your booked rehearsal session, you must notify FootNotes at footnotesdance@comcast.net, at least 24 hours ahead of your scheduled time.   If you ‘miss’/forget a rehearsal that you have signed up for, you are still responsible for the payment to the instructor.
  • As always, dancers are always free to book an empty room to practice on their own.

Studio Booking Process

We will be using Calendly to book rooms for practices and/or to log your required rehearsals for solo, duo or trios. Click here to access the FootNotes booking page on Calendly.

  • Solos, duos or trios must log 1 hour each month in the studio on your own. 
  • These bookings are for rehearsing/practicing, not playtime. 
  • These bookings are dancers only. No parents are allowed in the studios unless the dancer is under the age of 11. 
  • Dancers are not allowed to share the room with any other dancer while logging your required rehearsal time (except in a duo or trio). It is on your own. 
  • Dancers 5th grade or younger are not allowed to share the room with other dancers at any time. You may have a parent present if needed. 
  • Bookings are done in 15 minute time slots. You may book for up to 2 slots a day. We will see how this goes before placing any other restrictions. 
  • You will get a confirmation email once the booking is confirmed.
  • You will be charged at the end of each month with a fee of $5.00 per 15 minute slot.  
  • Your booking is subject to cancellation due to changes in room availability. At which time you will receive a cancellation notice via email.
