Solo, Duo, Trio Signup Genius & Studio Booking Process

Cheryl has created the Solo, Duo, Trio Signup Genius for this season. Click here to access the Signup Genius. Everyone must wait until they receive the email before signing up.

Make sure that you note on the Signup Genius whether you are signing up for your dancer’s solo, duo, or trio rehearsal.   Please make sure that only 1 mom or dancer signs up for a given slot for a duo or trio.

You may only sign up for one slot each time new dates are posted. After 3 days, if there are still spots open, dancers who do not have a solo/duo/trio and would just like a private lesson for technique are eligible to book. These dancers should be prepared to come to their private lesson with an agenda of what they want to work on. 

Dancers, please remember the following:

  • Please bring your music to the private lesson.
  • Please bring payment ($35 for a 30 minute session) at the start of each rehearsal.  There is no option to have this charge added to your FootNotes account.  All dancers must pay the instructor directly by either check, Venmo, or cash.
  • If your dancer is unable to attend your booked rehearsal session, you must notify FootNotes at footnotesdance@comcast.net, at least 24 hours ahead of your scheduled time.   If you ‘miss’/forget a rehearsal that you have signed up for, you are still responsible for the payment to the instructor.
  • As always, dancers are always free to book an empty room to practice on their own.

Studio Booking Process

We will be using Calendly to book rooms for practices and/or to log your required rehearsals for solo, duo or trios. Click here to access the FootNotes booking page on Calendly.

  • Solos, duos or trios must log 1 hour each month in the studio on your own. 
  • These bookings are for rehearsing/practicing, not playtime. 
  • These bookings are dancers only. No parents are allowed in the studios unless the dancer is under the age of 11. 
  • Dancers are not allowed to share the room with any other dancer while logging your required rehearsal time (except in a duo or trio). It is on your own. 
  • Dancers 5th grade or younger are not allowed to share the room with other dancers at any time. You may have a parent present if needed. 
  • Bookings are done in 15 minute time slots. You may book for up to 2 slots a day. We will see how this goes before placing any other restrictions. 
  • You will get a confirmation email once the booking is confirmed.
  • You will be charged at the end of each month with a fee of $5.00 per 15 minute slot.  
  • Your booking is subject to cancellation due to changes in room availability. At which time you will receive a cancellation notice via email.

Friday, October 27

  • ELITE, OVATION, PRODIGY & PREMIER – Arrive at Studio promptly at 5pm.  Theme of Production will be unveiled to the dancers; Production Finale choreography for these groups will begin promptly.  Dancers should be done by 6:30pm.     

Saturday, October 28

  • Ovation (9:00am – 11:30am)
  • Prodigy (11:00am – 1:30pm) 
  • Elite (1:30pm-3:00pm)
  • Premier (3:30pm-6:30pm)

Sunday, October 29

  • Ovation (9:00am – 10:30am)
  • Prodigy (10:00am – 12:00pm)
  • Premier (11:30am-1:00pm & 3:00pm-4:00pm)
  • Elite (1:30pm-8:00pm)

Simply click the link and select “add photos”  for all to enjoy! All members have access to add group photos of dancers on and off stage throughout the season and you can upload at any point and time! This will be our collective source for our end of year video compilation!

Also, if anyone needs a copy of the Big/Little Sister Activity board for this season, it can be found by clicking here! Once the girls have completed an activity they can get a sticker from Ms. Martha and put it on the tracking chart. The chart has been hung and the stickers are up front ready to go. Big thanks to Sara Guyer for coordinating another successful Big/Little Reveal!

Save the Date ~ Group Photography date set

SAVE THE DATE!   Group Photo date has been set for Saturday, November 11 and the Master Calendar has been updated!camera

  • This is a mandatory event for all members.  Please plan to block off the entire afternoon for planning purposes.  Pictures will be taken indoors at the Studio.  Each dance group will have photos taken as a group.  Exact times for each group will be announced closer to the event.  Details on what to wear, how to style hair, and make-up will be sent out within the next few weeks!

Parents Night Out at FNDA – Volunteers Needed!

Our Parents Night Out event is planned for Friday, September 29! 

  • Just like previous years, we will plan on dancing, games & crafts, pizza, and a movie for children between the ages of 3-11 (event hours are 6pm – 9pm).  We need dancers and a few parents to volunteer for the event.
  • If you/your dancer would like to VOLUNTEER for the event, click here to access the Signup Genius.
  • Volunteers MUST arrive by 5:30pm to help setup, lead activities and are expected to stay until 9:30pm for cleanup.    
    • Dancers: You will be expected to assist in various activities with the children, the entire length of the Parent Night Out event.  Dancers who volunteer can earn Beta hours for participating.
    • Minimum dancer age to volunteer is 13 years old.   If Mom/Dad has questions on whether your child should sign-up to volunteer, please feel free to email us at footnotesdanceblog@gmail.com.

Parent Volunteer Questionnaire – Response Needed

The success of The Vibe Performance Company is dependent upon the ongoing support of our dancer’s families. Each family is required to contribute 12 volunteer hours to the VPC (20 hours for families with more than one dancer) each season.

The Vibe Volunteer Information Questionnaire Form link is below.   This form asks a series of questions to provide the opportunity for you to identify your skills and interests to pair you with the right volunteer positions. 

Please click here to start the questionnaire (your response is due this Friday, September 8th end of day). It has several sections:

  • Basic info about you and/or your husband (if he is has able to volunteer)
  • Skills and Interests
  • A list of the open key roles in the Vibe, with several options for each
  • Ranking: You will then be asked to rank the Top 3 positions from your selections from most interested to least interest.  If you are also including information for your spouse, please indicate that in the ranking list as well. Only select the volunteer positions or committees that you are truly interested in and have the flexibility to participate in.  

Note that if you hit the back arrow to return to a previous page, you will lose all data and need the form to start over. There is a Questions and Comments section on the last page to add any info you might have left off earlier in the form or would like to share with us.

Once we have the responses from the Volunteer Information Form, the Board will review the responses and placements will be compiled.  

Thanks for your attention to getting this form filled out by this Friday, September 8th end of day and for all you do to make us VIBE STRONG!  

Note:  A separate Signup Genius for the “day of” Showcase volunteer positions will be sent out at a later date once plans for Showcase are finalized.  You will note that all of these volunteer roles are not listed in this Volunteer Information Questionnaire form.    

       

Hotel Info for Regional & National Competitions

Our Hotel Logistics team has reviewed hotel options for our out of town regional and national competitions. Thank you Trisha Urrea, Heather Perez & Heather Biscan!

Please click here to be directed to the Competition Hotel webpage.   Please read the Regional & National Competition Hotels PDF document carefully.  There is a lot of information being communicated about each option listed in this document.  Make sure you review each hotel’s cancellation policy as you are booking the reservation.

IMPORTANT NOTES:  We have not secured group rates for hotel options. Since so many book hotels using points and rewards, we are offering suggestions based on distance to venue, availability and past hotel experiences.

  • BOOK YOUR ROOM ASAP.  If you don’t book a room now, you risk paying higher prices or potentially not having accommodations.
  • If booking Edgewater Resort in Panama City Beach for Nationals, we recommend you book through VRBO, AirBnB or similar as most units are rented directly from the owner.
  • The full competition schedules are received 7-10 days prior to the event.  At that time, you can call and adjust/cancel your reservations.   It is ALWAYS easier to eliminate a night from a hotel stay of an existing reservation.  You will note that it is general policy of hotels to allow cancellations of nights.  However, make sure you ask about the all cancellation policies when booking your reservations.

The Big Little Reveal is set for Thursday, September 21st from 5:45pm – 6:30pm at the Studio!!
