Few Reminders:

• BIG/LITTLE SISTER TO-DO: Write your sister a note of encouragement and attach a small trinket for your BEACH BABE BIG/LITTLE to enjoy at the beach! Think fun flavored lip balm, a beach ball, frisbee, a cute hat, fun sunglasses, a portable fan, hair ties or even decorate a pair of flip flops! Make sure you meet up and spend a few minutes with your big/little while in Pensacola! 
• Nationals Spiritwear: Distribution info will be announced this week via blog post as soon as  the nationals shirts/tanks will be available for pick-up at the studio. Unfortunately, we were unable to secure the nationals beach towels prior to leaving for Pensacola, therefore, the order was cancelled and your account will not be charged if you pre-ordered this item. 
• Parents & dancers, please note there are designated spiritwear days throughout the week at Nationals!
  • Saturday-Monday: Wear FootNotes spiritwear, Nationals spiritwear or Red/White/Black Vibe colors!
  • Tuesday: Beach Day theme – Wear anything beach-themed (this is also the same theme as Revolution has this day)

Revolution Talent Nationals 2022 is going to be an amazing opportunity for our dancers!  It will be an opportunity for ALL of us to see our dancers shine, have a lot of fun, make some memories, and enjoy our dance family! Our girls have worked all year for this.  Let’s bring our FootNotes SPIRIT and loud CHEER voice as we support our dancers and all teams as much as possible throughout the week!

On Wednesday night and Thursday are the Premiere Battle of Champions and the Battle of Champions events, respectively. We are HOPEFUL that 1 or more of our dances will be selected to compete.  These selections will be determined during Competition Week by the judges. Cheryl will be notified throughout the competition if a dance is selected.  We will make you aware as soon as we know.

All proceeds will be used by The Vibe for dance company-related activities throughout the season. Each of these are one-time sale items. SECOND…Letters to our Seniors are due today to your group mom. An email with the details of what to do was sent out from the GMAIL account on May 25.   Contact your group mom if you have questions.

Cheryl has updated the Solo, Duo, Trio Signup Genius with new dates. Click here to access the Signup Genius.

Make sure that you note on the Signup Genius whether you are signing up for your dancer’s solo, duo, or trio rehearsal.   Please make sure that only 1 mom or dancer signs up for a given slot for a duo or trio. REMINDER: You may only sign up for one slot each time new dates are posted. After a week, you may check again and sign up for one more open slot if available.  

Dancers, please remember the following:

• Please bring your music to the private lesson.
• Please bring payment ($35 for a 30 minute session with Cheryl or Madison) at the start of each rehearsal.  There is no option to have this charge added to your FootNotes account.  All dancers must pay the instructor directly by either check, Venmo, or cash.
• If your dancer is unable to attend your booked rehearsal session, you must notify FootNotes at footnotesdance@comcast.net, at least 24 hours ahead of your scheduled time.   If you ‘miss’/forget a rehearsal that you have signed up for, you are still responsible for the payment to the instructor.
• As always, dancers are always free to book an empty room to practice on their own.

On Tuesday, June 14 at 6pm, the following 1 time “auction” items will be available for purchase via our Square website. Below are Recital details for Vibe dancers, so please read the entire post!   Our 2022 21st Annual Recital Showcase is Sunday June 5 with shows at 2pm and 6pm at the Gas South Theater in Duluth. Dress Rehearsals will be on Saturday, June 4 at 2pm and 6pm.

For 2pm Show:

• BRAVO, OVATION & STARLET dancers arrive at 1:15pm for setup of Dream Duffel, etc. for dances in the 2pm show.
• ELITE & PREMIER dancers arrive at 2:00pm for setup of Dream Duffel, etc for dances in Act 2 of 2pm show.
• ENCORE dancers (for Production) arrive at 3:00pm for production & finale in the 2pm show. Dancers should be in production costume/stage ready, stretched and ready to dance. (Do not bring Dream Duffel with you.)
• Parents, please note that your dancer may stay at the venue in between shows IF she has adult supervision (if your group wants to bring in food/eat together at the venue).  Dancers need to be show ready by 5:15pm sharp each day for the 6pm show.
• ALL dancers will be released to the front hallway of the venue (near the check-in area).

For 6pm Show:

• ELITE, ENCORE, OVATION & PREMIER dancers arrive at 5:15pm for setup of Dream Duffel, etc. for dances in the 6pm show.
• BRAVO dancers (for Production) meet at Check-in area at 5:45pm. Kelly Willis will meet dancers at the check-in area and escort them backstage. Immediately following production/first routine in 6pm show, Kelly will bring them back to check-in area to be released. Dancers should be in production costume/stage ready, stretched and ready to dance. (Do not bring Dream Duffel or backpack with you.)
• As a reminder, parents of those dancers that are only dancing in the Production routine will not be able to sit in the audience for the performance.   

IMPORTANT NOTES TO REVIEW:

• BACKSTAGE MOMS:  If you wish to be backstage during one or both shows, click here to signup to be a Backstage Helper on the FootNotes Signup Genius.  Only moms listed on the FootNotes Signup Genius will be allowed to be backstage.
• HAIRSTYLE: Dancers should wear the competition hairstyle (middle part, low pony) for all competition routines.  Note that all ballet pieces must have a bun.  Starlet will have a high bun and all other groups will have a low bun. Dancers will need to transition their hair from bun to low pony or low pony into a bun depending on where their ballet routine falls within the show order for both Dress Rehearsal on Saturday and Recital on Sunday.   The bun must be a neat, tight bun. Hairnets are encouraged and helpful for quick, neat buns.   Once the ballet piece is complete, dancers will transition their hair back to the low pony.  For the younger dancers, the backstage moms will handle this task for the dancers.  For the older dancers, the backstage moms will ‘check’ the dancer’s bun to ensure it is neat and secure.  
  • REMINDER: ALL dancers must bring your hair supplies…a comb, hairnet, hairspray, and bobby pins to create the bun.  A flat iron and brush may be needed to get your dancer’s pony straightened after the bun is taken down.
• MAKE-UP:  Dancers DO NOT need to wear makeup for Dress Rehearsal on Saturday. For Recital on Sunday, dancers must wear full competition makeup including lashes and our competition lipstick color.  There is no need to change the color of lipstick for ballet.
