We are planning a Parents Night Out event at FootNotes on Friday, November 13. 

• Just like previous years, we will plan on dancing, games & crafts, pizza, and a movie for children between the ages of 3-10 (event hours are 6pm – 9pm).  We need dancers and a few parents to volunteer for the event.
• If you/your dancer would like to VOLUNTEER for the event, click here to access the Signup Genius.
• Volunteers MUST arrive by 5:30pm to help setup, lead activities and are expected to stay until 9:30pm for cleanup.    All volunteers must wear a mask while at the event and will be temperature checked upon arrival (we will be using standard FootNotes Covid guidelines).
  • Dancers: You will be expected to assist in various activities with the children, the entire length of the Parent Night Out event.  Dancers who volunteer can earn Beta hours for participating.
  • Minimum dancer age to volunteer is 12 years old.   If Mom/Dad has questions on whether your child should sign-up to volunteer, please feel free to email us at footnotesdanceblog@gmail.com.

Our Vibe Big and Little Sister Reveal is set for Sunday, October 25…please mark your calendars for late afternoon likely between 5pm and 6:15pm.  Further details on exact timing and details about the Reveal will be communicated soon!  It will be held at:

Our Hotel Logistics team (Trisha Urrea and Lori Murphy) has been busy on the phones to secure hotels for our out of town regional competition…thank you again, ladies, for all of your hard work!

IMPORTANT NOTE:  If you can not secure the rate that is listed for a hotel, please email us at footnotesdanceblog@gmail.com, (include which hotel and rate), and we will get that information to our Hotel Logistics committee for review with the hotel.  They will let you know if they are able to secure additional rooms at the special rate. Note that we are not able to secure a block of 65+ rooms at these rates at each hotel…hotels will not allow us to do that. We have smaller blocks of rooms secured at each hotel, with the option of them allowing us to open up more accommodations should we book to their maximum allowed for the block (assuming rooms are still available at that rate).

The success of The Vibe Performance Company is dependent upon the ongoing support of our dancer’s families. Each family is required to contribute 12 volunteer hours to the VPC (20 hours for families with more than one dancer) each season.

The Vibe Volunteer Information Questionnaire Form link is below.   This form asks a series of questions to provide the opportunity for you to identify your skills and interests to pair you to the right volunteer positions. 

Please click here to start the questionnaire (your response is due by Thursday, September 17 end of day). It has several sections:

• Basic info about you and/or your husband (if he has able to volunteer)
• Skills and Interests
• A list of the open key roles in the Vibe, with several options for each
• Ranking: You will then be asked to rank the positions you selected from most to least interest levels.  If you are also including information for your spouse, please indicate that in the ranking list.

Note that if you hit the back arrow to return to a previous page, you will lose all data and need the form to start over. There is a Questions and Comments section on the last page to add any info you might have left off earlier in the form.

Once we have the responses from the Volunteer Information Form, the Board will review the responses and placements will be compiled.

Note:  A separate Signup Genius for the “day of” Dance Showcase volunteer positions will be sent out at a later date once plans for Showcase are finalized.  You will note that all of these volunteer roles are not listed in this Volunteer Information Questionnaire form.

SAVE THE DATE!   Group Photo dates have been set, including a rain date in case of inclement weather!

• Group Photos are slated for Sunday, November 1.  This is a mandatory event.  Please plan to block off the entire day for planning purposes.  Pictures will be taken at a location in the Atlanta area (still to be determined),  Each dance group will have photos taken (as a group), as well as an “all company” photo.  Exact times for each group and location/parking information will be announced closer to the event.  Details on what to wear, how to style hair, and make-up will be sent out in a few weeks.
  • The “Rain Date” for Group Photos will be Saturday, November 7..  Please mark your calendars for the entire day on this date as well, should we need it.
