Showcase Reminders ~ T – 2 Days and Counting!

Yes, it’s T-2 days and counting for Showcase 2022!!  Amy and Elisa have prepared a Showcase Consolidated Schedule/Summary Reminders document, and it has been loaded to the Showcase 2022 Member Information webpage.  It’s #7 on the list. Please review this document (as well as the detailed Showcase parent meeting document – it is #6 on the list, if you have not had a chance yet.)  These documents include important information for you and your dancer about this weekend. Click here to access the 2022 Showcase Member Information webpage.

Amy and Elisa ask that you please allow plenty of time to get to the venue and to be on time per the schedule start at 10am on Saturday (unless you are slotted to come earlier per the Signup Genius to help with clearing out the classrooms).

Also, Moms, please wear your pink “#WeDanceForHelen” ribbon and bracelet on Saturday and Sunday.   These were given out back in October.   If you do not have a bracelet, check with Amy and Elisa this weekend, and they will give you one.

Click here to be directed to the Showcase Video web page where you can purchase your video.

Feel free to share this link noted above with your friends and family to purchase a video of the show!  The videos will be available a few weeks after the show, via PICKUP at the Studio.

More Showcase Info – Signup Genius & Parent Meetings

SHOWCASE VOLUNTEER SIGNUP

Thank you to those members that have already signed up for multiple positions on our Showcase 2022 Signup Genius!  Several key/”must fill” positions are still open and need volunteers.  We need your help to get these open positions filled. Please click here to access the Vibe 2022 Dance Showcase Signup Genius.

Reminders from the initial post about the Signup Genius:

  1.  Please note that many of  these volunteer roles only require up to an hour of your time, so you may sign up for multiple volunteer positions across both shows.
  2. Please be conscious of any time conflicts when signing up for multiple roles.  If you have any questions on volunteer positions, feel free to email us at footnotesdanceblog@gmail.com.

SHOWCASE PARENT MEETINGS

Our awesome Showcase Chairs, Amy Smith and Elisa Bobbitt, will hold 2 Parent Meetings (each meeting will have the same content) to review important details about Showcase, including venue details, drop-off nd pick-up instructions, timeline, etc. This is a mandatory meeting for 1 parent of each dancer to attend (dancers DO NOT need to attend).

  • Saturday, February 5 at 1 – 1:45pm  for Bravo, Encore, Ovation, & Starlet parents
  • Saturday, February 5 at 2 – 2:45PM  for Elite and Premier parents
  • We are offering 2 meetings to keep the gatherings small.   Masks are required for all.
  • The meeting will be held at FootNotes in one of the larger studio rooms.  If you would like to sit during the meeting, please bring a chair or blanket.
  • If you are feeling sick on the day of or are unable to attend the meeting, please email us at footnotesdanceblog@gmail.com
  • These meetings have been added to Master Calendar as a reminder.  Again, you may attend either meeting.  It will be the same info!

A few important notes about Showcase:

  1. Only registered volunteers assisting with backstage duties and Lead Group Moms for
each group are allowed backstage during Dress Rehearsal. Lead Group Moms for Saturday, February 19, will assist during Dress Rehearsal and Show #1. If you are registered for other volunteer positions throughout the weekend, please note your arrival times on the Sign-up Genius (link above).
  2. Dancer Arrival Times on both days of Showcase. Please arrive promptly on February 19 and 20.  These times have been added to the Master Calendar.
    • Saturday, February 19 Arrival Time: 10:00 AM
    • Sunday, February 20 Arrival Times: 1:00 PM
  3. Saturday’s Dress Rehearsal will start promptly at 10:30 AM.
  4. First 3 dances MUST arrive in their first dance costume (click here to access the 2022 Vibe Showcase Show Order) with competition hair and make-up completed. The only exception is Elizabeth Taylor, in which the costume should not be put on until the dancer arrives at the venue to prevent wrinkling.  All other dancers may put on their first costume at the venue.

We appreciate your cooperation and support to maintain a fun, yet safe environment for our dancer, volunteers, and guests at Showcase!

Solo, Duo, Trio Signup Genius updated with more February dates

Cheryl has updated the Solo, Duo, Trio Signup Genius with new dates for next week. Click here to access the Signup Genius.

Make sure that you note on the Signup Genius whether you are signing up for your dancer’s solo, duo, or trio rehearsal.   Please make sure that only 1 mom or dancer signs up for a given slot for a duo or trio.

You may only sign up for one slot each time new dates are posted. After a week, you may check again and sign up for one more open slot.

Dancers, please remember the following:

  • Please bring your music to the private lesson.
  • Please bring payment ($35 for a 30 minute session with Cheryl or Madison) at the start of each rehearsal.  There is no option to have this charge added to your FootNotes account.  All dancers must pay the instructor directly by either check, Venmo, or cash.
  • If your dancer is unable to attend your booked rehearsal session, you must notify FootNotes at footnotesdance@comcast.net, at least 24 hours ahead of your scheduled time.   If you ‘miss’/forget a rehearsal that you have signed up for, you are still responsible for the payment to the instructor.
  • As always, dancers are always free to book an empty room to practice on their own.

Business Partner and Family Sponsors, THANK YOU!

We have pulled together a web page dedicated to our business and family sponsors for this dance season.  Click here to access the web page.  A link to each sponsor’s website is included on the web page.  We are so grateful for all of the support from these businesses this year!  Please patronize each of these businesses whenever possible, and thank them for their support of our dance team!  And Thank You to our Family Sponsors for your donation to this year’s dance season!

AND, we want to thank our AMAZING Business Partner Chair and her Committee for their hard work this year in gaining the support of this sponsor list!   You ladies ROCKED IT!  Thank you to Gloria Mattei-Pacheco as Business Partner/Sponsor Chair, along with Denise Deitchman, Heather Biscan, Heather Cannon, Jeanine Blanco, Kerry Higgins, Rebecca Knezevich and Sarah Levin.

And, a HUGE THANK YOU to Maya Frank for creating the artwork for our sponsors for the Showcase Program and social media.

Competition Make-up Update

For returning members who requested Yofi make-up (Eyeshadow, Blush, Lipstick)…they are still having serious supply issues. At this point, Cheryl does not know when the make-up may arrive. So, we need to come up with a “plan B.” If you have make-up that you can use from last year, she recommends you continue to use that this year. However, if you do not, she wants you to purchase similar shades at the drug store. She says you can choose the blush and eyeshadow that is close to the color of the Yofi options. She will find a similar lipstick color, and we will communicate that information in the next few days.

Earrings (if you purchased them) are on order and will arrive shortly.
