Our 1st regional competition of the 2022-2023 dance season is upon us…..NEXSTAR here we come! Just a few reminders since this is our first competition of the season…

• Review the “All About Competition” guide which can be found by clicking here as well as on the Nexstar 2023 webpage. This is important document that should be reviewed by both mom and dancer.
• Triple check your dancer’s costumes against your costume lists to ensure you have all pieces and parts. 
• Check your dancer’s shoes and make sure you have all of them also.  
• Dancers, please bring your Vibe Jacket to wear over your costumes/at the venue.  
• Parents, please wear your FootNotes spiritwear and/or Vibe colors (red and black) to show our team spirit throughout the weekend.   

We encourage you to support ALL of the dancers and groups next weekend by watching and cheering for them LOUDLY in the audience!

Everyone must wait until they receive the email before signing up. Dancers need to arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled time to review judges critiques BEFORE coming in to rehears with Cheryl. Be stretched and warmed up prior to rehearsal start time.

Cheryl has created the Solo, Duo, Trio Signup Genius for this season. Click here to access the Signup Genius.

Make sure that you note on the Signup Genius whether you are signing up for your dancer’s solo, duo, or trio rehearsal.   Please make sure that only 1 mom or dancer signs up for a given slot for a duo or trio.

You may only sign up for one slot each time new dates are posted. After one week, you may sign up for an additional spot, but you must have pre-approval from Cheryl.  

Dancers, please remember the following:

• Please bring your music to the private lesson.
• Please bring payment ($35 for a 30 minute session or $17.50 for a 15 minute session with Cheryl ) at the start of each rehearsal.  There is no option to have this charge added to your FootNotes account.  All dancers must pay the instructor directly by either check, Venmo, or cash.
• If your dancer is unable to attend your booked rehearsal session, you must notify FootNotes at footnotesdance@comcast.net, at least 24 hours ahead of your scheduled time.   If you ‘miss’/forget a rehearsal that you have signed up for, you are still responsible for the payment to the instructor.
• As always, dancers are always free to book an empty room to practice on their own.

Yes, it’s T-2 days and counting for Showcase 2023!! 

Amy and Elisa have prepared a Showcase Consolidated Schedule/Summary Reminders document, and it has been loaded to the Showcase 2023 Member Information webpage.  It’s #6 on the list. Please review this document (as well as the detailed Showcase parent meeting document – it is #4 on the list, if you have not had a chance yet.)  These documents include important information for you and your dancer about this weekend!! Amy and Elisa ask that you please allow plenty of time to get to the venue and to be on time per the schedule start at 10:45am on Saturday (unless you are slotted to come earlier per the Signup Genius to help with clearing out the classrooms).

We still have several volunteer openings for concessions and clean up for both shows. Please consider signing up for additional responsibility throughout the weekend to ensure Showcase 2023 goes off without a hitch!  Click here to access the Showcase Volunteer Sign-Up Genius.  In addition, you can access the Volunteer Hours Tracking Form on the Member Information Page at any time throughout the season to log your volunteer hours.

Lastly, please have your dancer bring their heart shaped sunglasses that they received from Cheryl on Tuesday with them to Showcase! We want to get pictures of the girls and their teams backstage hyped and ready to GLOW THEIR OWN WAY!
