We invite you to join us in celebrating the life of Helen Wamey, a beloved member of our FootNotes family for 14 years.

Helen was a senior at Marist High School and a proud member of our Elite competitive team with the Vibe Performance Company. She touched so many lives with her kindness, talent and spirit before passing away from Meningitis.

To honor Helen and her memory, we are hosting PINK OUT Week – September 29 through October 2. Wear PINK all week long – Helen’s favorite color – as we celebrate her life, her love of dance and the joy she brought to all of us.

Let’s fill the studio with love, light and PINK in Helen’s Honor!

We have some information to share regarding a venue and date change for Showcase 2026 due to limited theatre availability at Duluth High School for February 2026.

Showcase 2026 will now be held at Blessed Trinity High School on Saturday, February 21st and Sunday, February 22nd, 2026.

Competition dates and venues previously noted as TBD have been updated! Big/Little Sibling reveal date has also been updated below…be on the lookout for an email with details coming soon!

IMPORTANT NOTES:  Group rates have not been secured for hotel options. Since so many book hotels using points and rewards, we are offering suggestions based on distance to venue, availability and past hotel experiences.

• BOOK YOUR ROOM ASAP.  If you don’t book a room now, you risk paying higher prices or potentially not having accommodations.
• When booking Edgewater Resort in Panama City Beach for Nationals, we recommend you book through VRBO, AirBnB or similar as most units are rented directly from the owner.
• The full competition schedules are received 7-10 days prior to the event.  At that time, you can call and adjust/cancel your reservations.   It is ALWAYS easier to eliminate a night from a hotel stay of an existing reservation.  You will note that it is general policy of hotels to allow cancellations of nights, however, make sure you ask about the all cancellation policies when booking your reservations.

Within the next few weeks, we will be sending out suggested accommodations for out of town regional competitions. PLEASE make your reservations AS SOON AS YOU GET THE INFORMATION ABOUT IT!  It is easier to cancel a room than to reserve a room as competition dates grow closer…always check cancellation policies with the hotel.

This is the initial information from Cheryl on choreography plans. This IS NOT EVERYTHING, but we wanted to provide this info for planning purposes. Please continue to keep weekends in August, September and October free. Click here to view the Master Calendar. We will update the calendar with choreography times & details as soon as they are available.

The success of The Vibe Performance Company is dependent upon the ongoing support of our dancer’s families. Each family is required to contribute 12 volunteer hours to the VPC (20 hours for families with more than one dancer) each season.

The Vibe Volunteer Information Questionnaire Form link is below.   This form asks a series of questions to provide the opportunity for you to identify your skills and interests to pair you with the right volunteer positions. 

Please Click Here to start the questionnaire (your response is due next Friday, August 22 end of day). It has several sections:

• Basic info about you and/or your husband (if he is able to volunteer)
• Skills and Interests
• A list of the open key roles in the Vibe, with several options for each
• Ranking: You will then be asked to rank the Top 3 positions from your selections from most interested to least interest.  If you are also including information for your spouse, please indicate that in the ranking list as well. Only select the volunteer positions or committees that you are truly interested in and have the flexibility to participate in.  

Note that if you hit the back arrow to return to a previous page, you will lose all data and need the form to start over. There is a Questions and Comments section on the last page to add any info you might have left off earlier in the form or would like to share with us.

Once we have the responses from the Volunteer Information Form, the Board will review the responses and placements will be compiled.  

Thanks for your attention to getting this form filled out by next Friday, August 22nd end of day and for all you do to make us VIBE STRONG!  

A few notes:

• A separate Signup Genius for the “day of” Showcase volunteer positions will be sent out at a later date once plans for Showcase are finalized. Showcase is an “all hands on deck” event and volunteer participation from ALL dancer families is expected.  You will note that all of these Showcase volunteer roles are not listed in this Volunteer Information Questionnaire form.    
• With the growing number of senior dancers each year, senior moms are not exempt from volunteering as we continue to need all the support and dedication throughout your dancer’s last year with us!
• Volunteers will track their hours via a link on the Vibe website (under Members Only section). Click here to access the Volunteer Hours Tracking Form which can be updated throughout the season.

The Vibe Dance Season Information Communication document has been added to the Member Information webpage (2nd item on page) which can also be reviewed by clicking here.  This document contains IMPORTANT information about our season including website info and team To Do items. Please review this document in its entirety ASAP. This document ALSO includes links to web pages and google forms that you may need to access in the future.

• The Vibe Medical Release form link is also listed in the Vibe Parent Dance Season Information Communication.  Click here to access the Medical Release form; please have it completed for your dancer by Friday, August 29 end of day.  This form is also listed on the Member Information webpage.
