A Signup Genius has been created for private rehearsals of Solos, Duos, and Trios this year.  You will use this throughout the year to book rehearsals for your dancer if she is competing with a solo, duo, trio.  Make sure that you note on the Signup Genius whether you are signing up for your dancer’s solo, duo, or trio rehearsal.   Please make sure that only 1 mom or dancer signs up for a given slot for a duo or trio.

As a reminder:

• Please bring your music to the private lesson.
• After a week of your first sign up, you may check again and sign up for one more open slot during the month.
• Please bring payment ($30 for 30 minute sessions with Cheryl or Shannon) at the start of each rehearsal.  There is no option to have this charge added to your FootNotes account.  All dancers must pay the instructor directly by either check, Venmo, or cash.
• If your dancer is unable to attend your booked rehearsal session, you must notify FootNotes at footnotesdance@comcast.net, at least 24 hours ahead of your scheduled time.   If you ‘miss’/forget a rehearsal that you have signed up for, you are still responsible for the payment to the instructor.
• As always, dancers are always free to book an empty room to practice on their own.

We have 2 community events that we are planning:

• Last year’s Parents Night Out (PNO) event was so successful (and fun!), so we are planning to host another PNO this year!  Just like last year, we will plan on dancing, games/crafts, pizza, and a movie for children between the ages of 3-10 (event hours are 6pm – 9pm).  We need dancers and a few parents to volunteer for the event.

Important Dates have been set!   They are:

• The 2019 Vibe Dance Showcase dates have been set, and the venue has been secured! Thank you to our awesome Showcase Chairs (Lori Murphy and Linda Nowlin) for getting the venue secured!  We will host our Dance Showcase at the Paul Duke STEM High School Auditorium located at 5850 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Norcross, GA).  Please save these dates below on your calendar now.  Plan on keeping the entire day/into the night open/available.   Detailed schedules will be sent out closer to the event.

  • Full Dress Rehearsal & Dance Showcase 1 – Saturday, February 9, 2019

• Our Vibe Holiday Party will be on Sunday, December 9 starting at 11:30am – 1:30pm.  It will be held this year at the The Falls at Autry Mill Clubhouse.

The Vibe Volunteer Information Questionnaire Form link is below.   This form asks a series of questions to provide the opportunity for you to identify your skills and interests to pare you to the right volunteer positions. 

Please click here to start the questionnaire (your response is due by Tuesday, September 25 end of day). It has several sections:

• Basic info about you and/or your husband
• Skills and Interests
• A list of the open key roles in the Vibe, with several options for each
• Ranking: You will then be asked to rank the positions you selected from most to least interest levels.  If you are also including information for your spouse, please indicate that in the ranking list.

Note that if you hit the back arrow to return to a previous page, you will lose all data and need the form to start over. There is a Questions and Comments section on the last page to add any info you might have left off earlier in the form.

Once we have the responses from the Volunteer Information Form, the Board will review the responses and placements will be compiled in the coming weeks.
