Potential Contemporary Choreography for this weekend (August 20-22) for the following groups has been removed from the calendar:  ELITE Large Group, PREMIER Large Group, and OVATION Large Group, ELITE Small Group & PREMIER Small Group.  Cheryl is working to get these pieces scheduled.  We will update you as soon as they are scheduled.

Potential contemporary choreography placeholder for the weekend of September 17-19 has been changed to include the following groups:

• PREMIER Small Group (dancers TBD) – This WILL definitely be this weekend. Times are to be determined.

The success of The Vibe Performance Company is dependent upon the ongoing support of our dancer’s families. Each family is required to contribute 12 volunteer hours to the VPC (20 hours for families with more than one dancer) each season.

The Vibe Volunteer Information Questionnaire Form link is below.   This form asks a series of questions to provide the opportunity for you to identify your skills and interests to pair you to the right volunteer positions. 

Please click here to start the questionnaire (your response is due by Tuesday, August 17 end of day). It has several sections:

• Basic info about you and/or your husband (if he has able to volunteer)
• Skills and Interests
• A list of the open key roles in the Vibe, with several options for each
• Ranking: You will then be asked to rank the Top 3 positions from your selections  from most to least interest levels.  If you are also including information for your spouse, please indicate that in the ranking list as well. Only select the volunteer positions or committees that you are truly interested in and have the flexibility to participate in.  

Note that if you hit the back arrow to return to a previous page, you will lose all data and need the form to start over. There is a Questions and Comments section on the last page to add any info you might have left off earlier in the form or would like to share with us.

Once we have the responses from the Volunteer Information Form, the Board will review the responses and placements will be compiled.  

Thanks for your attention to getting this form filled out by Tuesday, August 17 end of day and for all you do to make us VIBE-STRONG!  The form is also accessible on the Team To Do List web page for your convenience.  

Note:  A separate Signup Genius for the “day of” Dance Showcase volunteer positions will be sent out at a later date once plans for Showcase are finalized.  You will note that all of these volunteer roles are not listed in this Volunteer Information Questionnaire form.    

FootNotes Account Management – Please login to the FootNotes portal, update your dancer info (school, etc.) and credit card info, etc. and sign up for your dancer’s classes.

If you have not done so already, please sign in to the FootNotes portal with your user id and password. You will be prompted to sign the waiver for the new season (if you have not already done so), update any account level information, and signup for your dancer’s required classes. We are working on the Volunteer Survey form for all other volunteer roles in Vibe.  We will send that out for your feedback as soon as it is ready.   

Also, the Vibe 2021-2022 Member Information web page is now active under the Members Only section of the website.  Please click here to access the Vibe Member Information web page.  As a reminder, this page is password protected.  The password was sent out via email to all members in the “Welcome” email sent on July 8.

The Member Information webpage contains several documents:

1.  The 2021-2022 Member Directory which lists all dancer info by group name/by dancer first name.   Please review your dancer’s directory information for any errors or changes needed. If you find anything that needs correcting, please communicate the change via the Member Directory Updates form also listed on the Member Information webpage.
2. The 2021-2022 Vibe Handbook (which contains the Vibe contract that needs to be turned into FootNotes if you have not already done so).
3. This season’s Payment Plans for each dance group, as well as the Additional Solo/Duo/Trio/Small Group payment plan.
4. If your dancer has any additional/new Schedule Conflict updates that you need to communicate, there is a form on the Member Information webpage to communicate those additions and/or changes to us.

Below are some details about additional/optional pieces for this season:

1. Additional/Optional piece Interest Forms will be sent via email to PREMIER and ELITE and BRAVO.   We need the interest form filled out by all dancers in these groups by Tuesday, July 27 EOD.      
2. IMPORTANT NOTE About Optional Pieces:   Your dancer will not be eligible for extra/optional pieces if any other extracurricular activities interfere with any class, choreography, or rehearsal times.  Please make sure that you take this into consideration when you are answering the interest form.

The Raise the Barre dance intensive is the week of July 26. Please click here for the schedule details. FootNotes has an amazing lineup of educators slated for Raise the Barre: Madison Benson, Jahrea Brown, Jon Carr, Joe Friedman, Sarah Gold, Miki Hoiriis, Angela Kahle, Ricky Maalouf, Rachael Markarian, Jesse Mills, Mary Beth Stinson, and Cherrise Wakeham. Classes include Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Acro/Tumbling, Turns & Conditioning.

It’s going to be a week of unprecedented growth, knowledge, creativity, and inspiration with some of the nation’s most sought after faculty!

• If you have not registered for Raise the Barre, please enroll by Monday, July 12 as space is limited.  You can register online…Click here.   Tuition is $375 for the Junior level and $425 for Intermediate and Advanced levels for the week.

A few reminders for you/your dancer:

• Guidelines for level placement are:
  • Junior Level – Ages 6-10
  • Intermediate Level – Ages 10-14
  • Advanced Level – Ages 14 & up, dancing at a more advanced level

If you have questions about level placement, please email FootNotes at footnotesdance@comcast.net.

• Dancers should pack a light, healthy lunch as well as healthy snacks that can be eaten quickly for energy in between classes. Don’t forget water bottles!
• Please dress in fitted dance attire with no baggy t-shirts or shorts. Dance shorts or leggings with a sports bra and tank are acceptable, as long as it is neat and tasteful. Please represent yourselves and FootNotes in a professional way and as dancers who take pride in their appearance.
• Bring ALL DANCE SHOES.
• When possible, please wear a black leotard and pink tights for Ballet and have hair secured in a bun. All tights should be clean and free of holes and runs.
• Dancer’s hair should be pulled back from face, neat and secured with hairspray. Braids are encouraged for this reason.  
• As always, please remind your dancer that there will be some dancers visiting, as well as FootNotes recreational dancers at Raise the Barre week.  Please ask your Vibe dancer to make all dancers and teachers feel welcome at FootNotes, and to be kind and courteous at all times.  Please make sure that we set the standard for how we keep the studio clean at lunch and snack breaks during the week…Vibe dancers should always remember to keep the studio tidy and cleanup after ourselves at all breaks.
