Vibe EOY Party RSVP/Details

Our Vibe End of Year Party is set for Tuesday, May 28 starting at 5:30pm until 8:30pm at the Nesbit Lakes pool/clubhouse!

It will be a fun evening to celebrate our amazing season with dinner, swimming (if you want), as well as a time to recognize our 2 Seniors, our Group Moms and Prop Dads, and Teachers.   Remember to bring/wear your bathing suit and a towel!

Our EOY Party Chairs (a BIG thanks to Lisa Farrar and Trisha Urrea for planning our party!) are planning a menu of sandwiches and salads catered from Newk’s. The Menu includes:

  • Grilled Chicken Sandwich
  • Newk’s Club Sandwich – ham, turkey, bacon, swiss cheese, lettuce, & tomato
  • Vegetarian Sandwich w/ portobello mushrooms, pesto, roasted red pepper & goat cheese
  • Salads will include:   Pasta Salad, Fruit Salad,  & Green Salad
  • Chips & Dessert
  • Water

NOTE: Individual Coolers are allowed at Nesbit Lakes….so you are welcome to BYOBeverages!   NO GLASS containers to drink from, please!

Through our collective fundraising efforts this year, the Vibe will pay for ALL the Vibe dancers and teachers attending, PLUS one adult/guest per dancer. Additional family members will be $14/per person.    

Action Items:

First….Please check here to fill out the form to RSVP to the party so that we can get an accurate headcount for planning the food.  We need your RSVP by Tuesday, May 21 end of day.

Second…click here if you are bringing a second parent, and/or siblings to the End of Year Party. We ask that you pay for the additional family members prior to the event. We need payment by Tuesday, May 21 end of day.

Okay dancers, let’s “ROCK KAR” this weekend! Paint a rock for your big or little with an inspirational message. Get your creative minds going, and for those of you with “the not so creative mind”….. see Pinterest for some great examples and ideas. Have fun with this! If you would like to add something sweet to go with your rock, (that is optional.)

This is our last competition for the 2018-2019 VIBE PERFORMANCE COMPANY season. We are so proud of our girls commitment, strength, and dedication that they have all taken to be part of this amazing team!  Way to go girls!!!💕

Cheryl has received an updated schedule for Kids Artistic Review (KAR) Dance Competition this coming weekend.  Please check out the link below to view the latest version of the schedule…many of our dance times were updated by a few minutes.  You will note that KAR may update dance times again before Friday…make sure you download their app (details in the document below) to see the exact times as posted on Friday.

There is a Live Stream at NexStar!

We found out tonight that NexStar has a Live Stream of the competition through the DanceBug app.   You need to download the app from the AppStore…search for DanceBug.  You will need to log in (some of us may have a DanceBug login if you purchased pictures or video at Revel). If you do not have a login, simply create one using the Create Login button.  Once you are logged in, go to “Live Event Info.”  Then, scroll down and find NexStar.  Choose Atlanta, GA and then choose Live Stream.

From there, you can also access Live Schedule to see which acts are up next.

There is no access to the Live Stream on Nexstar’s website….from what we can tell, it is only available on the DanceBug phone app.

Order your Recital Flowers & Trophies NOW – On Sale through May 3rd

The Vibe is selling our Recital Flower Bouquets and Trophies again this year! If you did not get a chance to place your order at the Studio this week, you still have a chance to take this “to do” off your checklist!

Simply go to the Vibe’s online store, place your order, and your flower bouquet or trophy will be waiting for you at the Trophy and Flower table in the lobby of the FootNotes recital venue (Infinite Energy Center) on Sunday, June 2 prior to the 2:00pm and 7:00pm show.

You may purchase these items now through Friday, May 3, so get your order in today, so you have 1 less item on your “to do” list!

NexStar Big/Little Fun!

From our Big/Little Committee Chairs:

Hey Vibe Dancers!  

We are going to show our support for one another in the studio next week to get you pumped up for the NexStar competition! 

Each Big and Little sister will need to pick up a Star from the front desk this week.  Some Elite dancers will be asked to pick up an additional star to decorate for a Debut dancer.  Take the star home, cut it out and decorate it with your Big/Little/Debut dancer’s name, some fancy embellishments and write a note of support on the star.  Keep all writing and decor on one side.  Debut Dancers are only at the studio on Monday/Tuesday, so we ask that you have your stars completed by this Monday, April 22.

Bring your decorated star to the studio next week, and you can hang it on the Shining Star Wall!  Look for the banner in the hallway and tack your star up on the wall.  We will have mounting tack for you.  

Make sure you show your Big/Little/Debut Sister where you hung her star and wish her good luck at NexStar!
