Here it is…All of the schedule and venue info you need for the Kids Artistic Review (KAR) Dance Competition in College Park, GA on May 11 – 13, 2018.   You will note this is a preliminary schedule from KAR, and the times may change prior to next weekend.  We will update you as we learn of any changes in the schedule.

**Please be sure to review the details in this schedule document on the VPC/KAR webpage.  Cheryl has listed specific call times for each group, as well as dancer preparation details.   She is requesting all of our cooperation in making sure the dancers are as prepared as possible.

As a reminder, The Vibe is selling our Recital Flower Bouquets and Trophies! 

Simply go to the Vibe’s online store, place your order, and your flower bouquet or trophy will be waiting for you at the Trophy and Flower table in the lobby of the FootNotes recital venue (Infinite Energy Center) on Sunday, June 3 prior to the 2:00pm and 7:00pm show.

You may purchase these items now through this Friday, May 4, so get your order in today, and check that one off your end of year “to do” list!

There will be some Group Rehearsals the weekend of May 4.  Please keep that weekend open. Cheryl is working on scheduling for that weekend.    We will update you as soon as we have details.

Recital Flowers and Trophies – If you missed purchasing your recital flowers or trophy for your dancer during Picture Week, you can still purchase them through our online store through Friday, May 4.   It’s one less thing to remember to do on Recital day….simply click here to order and your flower bouquet or trophy.  It will be waiting for you at the Trophy and Flower table in the lobby of the FootNotes recital venue (Infinite Energy Theater) on Sunday, June 3 prior to the 2:00pm and 7:00pm show.  You can also access this online order form from the Team To Do List web page.

Week of June 11 – Summer Strong class at FootNotes update:  The class is being planned, and it will be taught by Miss Christina (who currently teaches Premier’s contemporary and ballet classes). This will not necessarily be a “Vibe only” class however.   If you want to get more dancing in that week and keep stretching/keep working on elements that your dancer knows she needs to work on, then this class would be a great option.  You can sign up for this class on the FootNotes website.

Vibe Season 2018-2019 –  Cheryl would like to know dancer interest in auditioning for Vibe for next season.   Please click here to fill out your dancer’s interest in auditioning for Vibe as soon as possible.  You can also access this form from the Team To Do List web page.  Reminder:  You will need to sign up for Raise the Barre week (week of June 18) if you have not already done so.  You can sign up for it on the FootNotes website.

Group Pictures from Sunday are now online on Releve’s website (and other pictures will be added each day).  If you are looking for your deposit information which also includes the gallery links and password for viewing the pictures…search your email for “RelevePhoto” (all one word).

GROUP PICTURES – Reminder it starts on Sunday, April 15

Please check your email from FootNotes on your dancer’s schedule for group pictures.  A reminder email was sent out earlier today. 

For pictures, dancers need to be in Vibe competition hair and stage make-up (including lashes) for all group dances except ballet. For ballet, dancers need to wear their hair in a high bun at the crown of their head (follow the natural upsweeping line of the cheekbone for correct alignment of the bun, it should be high but not on top of their head).  There should be no part in the hair.  For ballet pictures, the dancers should be in lighter stage make-up, and lips should be a shade lighter than competition lipstick but still defining and visible.    

NEW PROCEDURE THIS YEAR for solos, duos, trios, and small groups:  You need to make an appointment if you are interested in having pictures taken for these dances. Click here to access the appointment site for Releve’ Photo to secure your spot for these photos.   You will need to put in a credit card # to hold the day/time selected.  Your card will not be charged until the dancer(s) comes in for the photo.   You will note that if your dancer wants a photo taken in a solo costume, as well as in a duo/trio/small group costume, individual appointments will need to be made for each costume change.    All duos/trios/small groups should have 1 mom/dancer coordinate and select/secure the time slot for the group.
